Master's Thesis
Name of the sample: TFM
Subject: Master's Thesis
Date: Second semester, course 2018-19
Justification: Through the development of the Master's Thesis (TFM), my research and applicability skills are developed as seen during the MELE. In my TFM, I try to work mainly the interpersonal competence, since the learning of a language requires skills and practice to be able to communicate effectively. I believe that when facing a world where the L2 is the one used, it helps the student to be aware of the importance of being able to communicate despite the limitations it has, that is why, in my Master’s thesis I use Di Pietro’s scenarios (1994) as an important teaching tool to help develop the Strategic Competence in Spanish L2 instruction. Following Savignon’s communicative competence (1983) in second language teaching, Di Pietro’s scenarios become an appropriate mediating tool to improve learners’ oral proficiency in the target language, in this case Spanish. Learners will also develop their interpersonal and cultural competence (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, 1996) to successfully read and face today’s global challenges in interpersonal communication.
Key words
