Subject: Practicum II

Date: Second semester, course 2018-19

Justification: As a fundamental part of the Master's learning process (MELE), we have the opportunity to teach Communication and Culture courses to international students, mainly from Erasmus and IFP programs. This enriches our teaching practice because we have a whole world inside the classroom. In my personal experience, I had the opportunity to have students from different countries, for example: Canada, United States, Brazil, India, France, Germany , Austria, Czech Republic, Russia, Philippines, China, Korea, Bosnia, Holland, among others. All this allows a multicultural learning and gives me the opportunity to know a little about different cultures.


In addition, during the Practicum, we have the opportunity to apply all what we have worked on our subjects as MELE students, so, beyond learning the theory, we go to the practice through our teaching experience that we are acquiring in ILCE (where we teach). It is difficult to choose only one sample of what I have done, because working as a teacher has given me a great learning and anecdotes that in a sample is short to be reflected. Thus, I choose to attach the final exam that I did to my students of level B2.1 of the year 2019 in which part of what I learned in MELE is reflected, such as the use of technologies in the classroom as an evaluative tool and Learning. You can find as well, a lesson plan of a normal daily class where the communicative approach is the main tool how the class is developed.
