Teaching Spanish and development in a global world: coordination and supervision, specific purposes and learning - service
Name of the sample: Essay - Modernization in the teaching of ELE
Subject: Coordination and Supervision of programs and teachers of ELE
Date: Second semester, course 2018-19
Justification: In this subject worked with Professor Alberto Bruzos, we work in the different roles in which an ELE teacher can perform and some of the functions he can perform. We saw the importance of doing a good job and maintaining a proactive attitude towards the profession. That is why it is important to be up-to-date with respect to the research that can be done in the field of ELE education. It is not enough to be working in the environment but to be at the forefront in search of constant improvement agendas, contents, methodologies and all those topics related to the teaching of ELE.
It is important to bear in mind that we are in a medium in which research is a key part of progress, so beyond continuing to give chairs and helping students learn a language, it is also necessary to continue with the research part to be able to play a good role as coordinator or supervisor of the ELE programs.
The essay and the most widespread idea of what I have just described are detailed in the sample that is attached.
Name of the sample: Critical analysis "The Presentational Mode"
Subject: Teaching Spanish for specific purposes
Date: Second semester, course 2018-19
Justification: In this subject we work on the different approaches that the teaching of ELE can have regarding teaching with specific purposes, thus we saw the teaching of literature, Spanish for business and Spanish for health professions.
Several texts were worked as guides that helped to guide the importance of each context. One of the articles and / or texts worked on is chapter 8 of the book written by Hall, in which the presentational mode and its importance are discussed, in this way I made a critical analysis and some questions I had to solve at the end of the session of the class. In the attached analysis I explain my point of view on this.
I managed to incorporate into myself the awareness of knowing that teaching Spanish for specific purposes includes not only understanding who the teaching is aimed at, but also how each topic should be treated, since we must take into account the cultural and social differences that each context in you need to be able to teach in the most appropriate and effective way possible
